Consultation hours and home visits

Appointment office

All visits to the GP or doctor's assistant are by appointment. The time we reserve for you depends on your request for help and is usually 10 to 15 minutes. The assistant will ask about the reason for your contact to properly assess the nature and urgency of your complaints. Please check the information on Home doctor.co.uk or use the tool Should I go to the doctor? before making an appointment.

Do you think you need more time or are you coming with more than one person? Please inform the doctor's assistant when making your appointment, so that sufficient time can be scheduled. If you have not reported this in advance, the GP may not be able to deal with all the extra questions.

Assistant consultation

The doctor's assistant can perform various minor medical procedures, such as blowing out ears, pinching warts, removing stitches, checking urine for cystitis and administering injections. You can make an appointment for these during the assistant's surgery hours, which take place on weekdays between 2pm and 3pm.

Home visit

If you are too ill to come to the practice, the GP can visit you at home. You can request a home visit by phone between 08:00 and 11:30 with the assistant. The assistant will ask you what your complaints are. Together with the GP, she will decide whether an (emergency) home visit is necessary.

As there are more opportunities for examination and treatment at the practice, we prefer an appointment at the practice. Therefore, only request a home visit if it is really not possible to come to the practice.
